Monkey Trail

The wooden path from Ao Nang to the beach of the Centara Hotel (Pai Plong) leads along the mountainside through the forest. It is called the monkey trail. Long-tailed macaques and spectacled langurs live here. The latter are charming, and meeting them is an unusual bonus of a walk through the tropical forest. But a troop of macaques can cause trouble. The monkeys behave boldly, sometimes even aggressively. They are attracted to food or shiny objects. It is better to hide personal belongings, bottles of water, bags of food and watch out so that the animals do not start checking the contents of bags and backpacks.

Сотрудники отеля могут быть недовольны, что на пляже бывают не их гости.

The Monkey Trail has a rather steep staircase, consisting of 165 steps up and 96 steps down. The climb takes less than 15 minutes. The opening cozy beach of Pai Plong is surrounded by rocks and forest. Very beautiful.
